Bot Commands
BotSubscription uses commands to provide a seamless experience for both members and admins. Whether you are managing a Telegram subscription bot or a Discord subscription bot, these commands allow you to handle everything from plan selection to advanced membership management directly within the app.
Most commands are available to everyone, with the bot automatically tailoring the menu options based on your permission level.
Member & Admin Commands
These commands are available to all users. The interface will change depending on whether you are a regular member or a project admin.
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/subscribe | Browse available plans and start a new subscription. |
/memberships | View and manage active subscriptions or memberships. |
/settings | Access personal or bot-wide configuration options. |
/help | Display a list of available commands. |
/start | Launch the bot and see an initial welcome overview. |
/memberships
The /memberships command is the central hub for subscription management.
- For Members: You can see all your active subscriptions, check expiry dates, and cancel subscriptions if you no longer wish to renew.
- For Admins: You gain a full administrative overview of the project. Admins can:
- Search and see all memberships across the entire project.
- Cancel any member's subscription to prevent future billing.
- Terminate memberships with immediate effect, revoking access instantly.
/subscribe
This command opens the plan selection menu. It is the primary way members join your paid community.
- Members: See a list of available plans, pricing, and benefits.
- Admins: When used in a group or channel, admins can post a permanent "Subscribe" button that remains available for new members to click.
/settings
The /settings command is available to all users.
- Members: Manage personal preferences, notification settings, and linked accounts.
- Admins: Access project-wide configuration, including payment provider settings and bot behavior.
Admin-Only Commands
To keep your project management secure, certain sensitive actions are restricted to admins.
/projects
The /projects command is the only command reserved exclusively for project owners and admins. It allows you to:
- View all BotSubscription projects you manage.
- Switch which project you are currently managing through the bot.
- Quickly jump between different communities you are running.
Command Visibility
If you don't see a specific command appearing in your command list:
- Check Permissions: Ensure you have the correct admin level in the BotSubscription dashboard for restricted features.
- Platform Differences: While we aim for parity, some features may look slightly different on Telegram versus Discord.
